You'll like that one, a little bit more bang than the .357 Mag but very controlable and shootable. Congrats. You did good at $425.00!

I like those Ruger SBH revolvers and you got it at very good price.
We used to tweek them up and use them to shoot 100 yard matches and metallic silhouette matches.
They are built very tough and would have no problem handling heavy 44 mag loads. One thing that I didn't like was the factory grip which didn't fit my hand very well and heavy recoil would bruise my middle finger. Those Pachmayr grip helps to control recoil very well and help tame some of that "sting."

My buddy had a SBH in 44 mag and loaded it with buffalo rounds. I had never shot it before and he handed it to me and stood back. I fired all six and then said, I'm done!

IMHO for shooting very hot loads Ruger Super Redhawk is better.
More weight and better fitting grip to help control the recoil.

They are pachmyer grips.
