Some time next week Ill have a ruger Blackhawk in 44mag with a 10" barrel for sale
Do you need a rifle case to carry it?

C, the 4" you just bought should work just fine imo for realistic ranges, 25 yd's, more with practice. no problem with range or power in that caliber out to 100 yd's. but yes, without practice you will likely be able to shoot a longer bbl better. want to check out some super nice single actions, check out freedom arms. Ruger s/a's are currently the next best imo.
