It took me an hour to put this together. I got the upper already assembled. It was interesting, instead of using a youtube video I used a pictogram explanation I found online. Not too hard, some of the assemblies would be easier using the specialized tools out there. Can't wait to take this out for some sighting in of the flip us sites. Now all I have to do is settle on some optics. Too many choices out there, not sure which way to go. I like the idea of a 3x 1 MOA red dot but not many out there and they are not cheap.
Nice job. What specs? 1 in 7? chrome-lined barrel? M4 ramp? 5.56/.223?
I'm looking forward to my first "black" rifle. I'll probably build mine with a PlumCrazy lower, just have to decide on the upper.
Multi-cal, 1 x 7 twist, chrome lined barrel, free float handguard and railed gas block, m-16 bcg milspec parts kit, and a 6 position milspec stock kit, spikes lower & bolt carrier/charging handle.
Man, there are just so many options for each component or assembly, and looking on various forums and reading articles, it seems like for every person that loves a certain setup there's another who finds fault with it. Barrel length, twist rate, M4 or not, handguards, flattop or not, optics, stocks, etc. Then you have magazines and ammo considerations. It's like having a 350 engine block and trying to decide how you want to build it up.
Nice job chief!
