I put it back in the cage for one more day of beetle action. Still had some meat and junk on the back of the skull and base of antlers. Ill snap some pics when it is all clean before I mount it on the plaque.

Gonna stop at a hair place tomorrow and get some 40% peroxide to brighten it up

The beetle method sounds way easier than what I did. I was afraid to leave it out because I did not want anything to get to it so I put a huge pot on the camp fire and boiled it. That consisted of two full days of boiling and picking meat of by hand. I have now had it soaking in bleach for two weeks and it still does not look perfect. I pulled it out a few days ago to let it sit out to see if some bugs would clean out the inside of the nose better. I had my father up at the property that week and he thought I was a sick bastard.

Lesson learned
