Ted, that's pretty interesting. Knives fascinate me, so I have a few questions if you don't mind :dtect . What type of a blade is that? Guessing it's a kitchen type? Does the brow tine help in controlling the knife? How did you fasten the blade into the antler? Last question, was the antler a shed that you found?

Good Job!
yes that was a shed. The knife is blade is 40 years old. It one my mom use to use. It use to be a couple inches longer. At some point she broke the tip and the old bone handle broke a part. The knife was great for making thin cut It a thin stiff blade. The blade is attached the same way as it was done in the bone. The bone handle was just nailed ont0 the knife. The knife has a long spike-almost all the way down the antler. i see how this one works.
I not sure about the brow tine. I see after i use it for some processing. i see the antler i can cut and smooth easy.
