12 point mount

So while we're all waiting for hunting season to begin....here's a story about a nice one and a pic to go with it. I had been trying for years to get a buddy of mine to go deer hunting but he was a busy guy with three kids, momma, bills to pay, the whole thing. Now this guy loves to fish, boating, bird hunting, all the out door stuff, but could never get the time until two years ago. Well, I took him up to my place and put him on a couple of places just to get a doe so he would see plenty of deer and not get bored and give up. On the second day at 7:30 in the morning, I hear him shoot and I am sitting in a stand about two hundred yards away. I think...well he got his doe....but about 20 seconds go by and my cell phone rings and he says Guess who just shot his first buck?.....I said if its you it better be legal cuz in Hancock county they have to have at least four points on one side....Now this guys is all new to this and doesnt know a spike from a booner but tells me....well, he has at least 8 points unless you count all the ones in the middle too! When I heard that I told him I would be right there...So I walk over to where he's he hunting and I see a huge friggin beast laying about 10 yards off the food plot and I go over to count and its a main frame 10 point with four brow tines...thats 12 points....He asks me if this one is ok and I told him its like this......When we get back up to the cabin be humble because there are four guys up there counting me with over 100 years deer hunting total between us and none of us have a 12 point so yeah I guess this one is ok. So thats how it works sometimes....second day of deer hunting ever in his life...using my gun, my camos, he overslept, got to the stand late, and 30 minutes later shoots a deer like he may never do again....Oh well....I was really proud of him and that deer and there's bigger ones than that still running around ....Well now my buddy is in the middle of a divorce so while he's in transition he brought it back to me and the deer is hanging back on the wall of my office so I thought you guys might like to see it.....its below.....
