This is always th question. I find it when I take the 22 they ar always on the run and can never get a shot then when i bring a shotgun they are right on top of me.

I have a 5 shot for my 20ga would that be alright for squirrel is that too large?

20ga is fine, I hunt Citrus a lot so I like to take my 12ga with some low brass #6 and a full choke, this allows me to get out about 50 yards or so.

Shootin tree rats with a shotgun is one of the most funnest things hunting has to offer. I am thinking of planning a forum WMA youth squirrel trip later this season
