The day started early for us (4 am early). Left the house at 5:00 and to were at Ross Prairie at 7:30 after McDonal's breakfast. Only another father/son team there so we basically had the place to ourselves. The place is awesome. Lots of mature oaks dropping tons of acorns. Although the first time there we found squirrels in no time. The place is full of them. The only problem was that we sucked at shooting :no . Too many leaves still on the trees which makes for a good challenge. Although we shot at many of them, we only got two. We had a blast. Highly recommend the place for any father that wants to have a good time with the young ones.

Shooting and missing is sometimes better than harvesting. You'll be able to look back on that time and rib each other for missing so many times.
