Had the day off and went out for the day to one of the local WMA's. I like Etoniah Creek a lot but I haven't quite figured it out yet. I've killed about a dozen over the last few trips but it's TOUGH! Very thick underbrush but there are some really nice mature Live Oaks and Water Oaks. It's just thick underneath them.
Anyhow, here is today's haul. They were skittish ass hell so the shots were long. They weren't my best shots but I was pleased to see them drop anyhow. No meat was wasted so I guess it is all good in the end.
Met some nice fellers trying to round some up with a squirrel dog. Don't know how they did.
Saw the one guy who actually signed in before me got 5 when he signed out....
Oh well. Blanding, Belmore, Jennings Forest and Caravelle Ranch open soon. Maybe things will improve. Might even get a hog at some of those places....
Forgot to mention that I saw a doe, a turkey, and 3 eagles on the ground in different places.
