Question-the regs say no centerfire rifles during small game. I use a thompson center in 44 mag. for hogs. legal or no during small game. thanx.

the thompson center has a 10" bull barrel. I should have been more clear. but thank you for the input.

all so confusing. shotguns use a centerfire primer just like a centerfire rifle, but since some shotguns are smoothbores they can't be considered a centerfire rifle because there is no rifling in the barrel, but what about a rifled barrelled shotgun, it has a centerfire primer and a rifled barrel and yet is still allowed in most wma's I've seen. ( I'm not complaining) then there are some large bore rifled bbl rifles that use a rimfire ignition that is not allowed. then as a kicker hogs that may go over 300 lbs are classed as "SMALL" game. and they wonder why hunters sometimes use the wrong weapons. imo they really need to standardize the definitions and weapons allowed for each type of hunting throughout the state and lessen the confusion. and that doesn't even touch on the topic of season dates that can be different on wma's 5 miles apart.
