i have the same problem with my zippers corroding. i had never heard of the bow wax on the zipper, ill give that a try. i just use a backpack that i got from a clearance section in a tackle shop, i think its a landau or something. it was 5 bucks, it has 2 plastic boxes for lures and such, and large pockets for storage and what not. its nice cause i can take it wading and have both hands free to fish. i dont have a big foam gimic to put all my crap on to have floating beside me, so i find the backpack works well. i can fit pretty much everything i need in there for a night, or day outing. its also not uncomfortable to haul around.
