I have an Ande tournament rod (7'6") bait caster rod I really love, but has a broken eye. Anyone in the Tampa area you know of that fixes them at a reasonable price? Don't want to invest $30 in a $45 rod

Southeastern tackle on Florida ave does repairs. Not sure how much they charge.

Not too much of a chore to fix yourself. Sand area lightly with fine grit or a scotchbrite pad all around the rod where the eye sits to remove gloss, spot of superglue to position the eye. Then get some good nylon thread in a color you like, or get some actual rod-wrapping thread. Wrap it tight in 2 or 3 layers of thread and then coat with clear fingernail polish, or a little clear epoxy.

Hey Allen if you still have that issue a buddy of mine is having a rod fixed with a broken eye. I'll ask him where its being done and how much. He's pretty cheap so I doubt it costs too much.
