I've been reloading for a number of years now and have found a lot of very good equiptment on E-Bay, just know what you want and price out new stuff and see the price they are asking. RCBS, lyman, dillon are good brands, right now they have a RCBS rockchucker II wilth lots of extras for $125. , I wouldn't go fancy till you really find out if you like it.. the resale value drops just like a car the day you buy it you loose 25-50 % , I also mold lead bullets, thats another money saver if you target shoot alot, I run through about 150 rounds a week on my 44 mag, and maybe 35 to 50 rounds in my 308, i can also use my 44 mag bullets in my Thompson pro hunter 50 M/L with green sabbots, they fire the same as store bought, i had a group of 5 shots at 50 yrds of 1.5 inches, (with a spotter looked like only 3 rounds ) 100 grains of powder, so you really can save a lot , and get great accuracy..

ebay is a good source.i think it is possible to get into it for under 200 dollars, just do plenty of research.that way you can maybe get components right the first time.

go with midway, biggest selection I know of.

Start out with Lee Equipment, its cheaper so if you end up disliking reloading you can always sell it off.
I've been reloading for a bit and I personally love the lee reloading gear, its cheap and effective.

I've been slowly weaning off of their dies because they are a bit rough.

So, is the Lee Breech Loader any good for startin out? I found a brand new one on ebay for $99 not including dies, case trimmer, and case length tool. Guess you'd also need a media tumbler too.

the press is fine, the whole kit like pandamax said if you're only gonna load 100 rounds a year or drop out of it right away would work, but not as good as something better. consistency is the key to good/accurate loads and hand tools are just not consistent as the hands tire. some areas you do not want to scrimp on are good quality: scale, calipers, powder measure, powder measure micrometer (it gives you a numerical setting on the powder measure for the next time and saves time tweaking the powder wt from the powder measure, keep an index card for each load made with all info, for next time), case trimmer and priming system. I have 3 scales and all give different values. the one like in the kit sucks, digital is faster and more accurate and I use that mostly but use the ohaus lab grade triple beam to double check the digital, but have to convert grams to grains. a lot depends on the accuracy and speed of re-loading you are looking for and how anal you want to get about it, if you want 3" groups at 500 yds you're gonna have to slow down and be exact with every single step.my advice is buy a used set up soup to nuts from a reloading fanatic, that has already upgraded and tweaked his set up.
