I've read in a couple of different places that the 270wsm does better with the bullet further away from the lands than most rounds, 0.03- 0.05". my 150gr partitions are2.85" oal, and the 130 gr partitions are 2.72" oal. maybe it's just not fully broken in yet, or I haven't become fully used to the rifle yet. I probobly only have 300 or so rounds through it. next load I wanna try is 71 grains of rl25 for a velocity of 3,179fps with a 130 gr partition and a standard deviation of only 3 (fps)
finaly got it right, went to the chazz range today, warmed up with the 22mag until I was " in the zone" then switched to the 270wsm, fired a couple of quarter sized groups (at 50 yds), then the next 3 shots went into one hole you could cover with an aspirin, fired 3 more at the same spot and could cover 6 shots with a penny, thats using a bipod and rear rest while wearing my redneck costume and mullet wig. maybe I should wear the wig hunting. was using 130 gr with win 760 powder
