Isnt Plum Creek the logging company? They own most of the WMAs in north Florida

i believe so, they handle alot of lease property in georgia also.

I think it's time for a change in my hunting. It's pretty bad when you pay 1300.00 for a lease and you don't see nothing but does week after week. My buddy has killed 3 bucks and a doe and several hogs on WMA's and after seeing all the pics on here. I swear I could kill a doe everytime I hit the woods in my lease, place needs thinned out bad but our President is dead against doe killing, even during bow season. It's really embaressing when public land is so much better than private.

get EVERYONE together and go to the lease holder and say HEY we need to kill does.. if not were all out. trust me hell have doe tags quick..

I am perfectly happy hunting does, especially if they are part of the management program for the club/lease. I understand that it is a needed part of having a trophy management plan for a hunting club/lease.

I agree about the smallness of a lease, and the limited number of people on it. Less 'DRAMA' to deal with for sure. And stupid laws that are counterproductive to a good management plan are bad.

that is part of the reason i like hunting in georgia. you can harvest 10 does. even in gun season. can only shoot 2 bucks though. but the does eat very good.

The lease I am looking into is a small one only 120 acres for 500 a year! I have found many leases through Craigs List ads!

Thats actually a decent price, how many people on that land now? I wouldnt like if it were a lot of people.
is it nearby? or way out in the boonies?

under what heading do you find the leases? Sporting I would assume?

thanks
G
