Great Topic. I despise hi-fence canned hunts.I'm especially getting sick of the t.v.shows that are becoming infomercials. Some of the game you can see the the yellow tags in their ears. Never been a trophy hunter but have passd a lot of small bucks, and shot one they scored over 150 in Ga 2 years ago.SOmebody asked me about it's g-2's and g-3's I didn't know what that even meant a few years ago and still couldn't tell you which one is which.I got out of that lease because they started with the trophy only rules, even for kids. They take the fun out of it anymore.I have no problems with trophy hunters but don't look down on me if I shoot a 4 point. Two day after I killed the 10 pt I killed a 3 pt that tasted much better. My best hunt waas when my ten year old killed a spike 4 years ago,and he killed another spike and a doe in that Ga. lease. God I love venison.

lots of them georgia clubs are going to trophy clubs. I have been lucky enough to get leases by myself. No other people to change rules. as far as the high fence goes, being a guide I see it from the otherside also. Granted our place is not a high fence and we have tried to keep as fair chase as we can. other than running feeders, but we don't sit and wait for them to show up. but, if them high fences grow them big enough there is always somebody willing to pay to shoot one.

That's the whole deal to me kemster, There's asolutely nothing wrong with guiding hunters or as far as that goes hi-fence hunting. But it's not hunting,it's killing. People who shoot deer or any game in high fence area just want to kill something and put on their wall.I just can't call folks who kill game in hi-fence areas hunters.

if i ever had enough money to do a high fence hunt i would not feel like i went out and actually hunted the harvest. I would more feel like i got something cool to hang on the wall. Some people just pay to kill a huge deer then want respect. lol.. some are humble. Being humble is the main part of it. It makes you a better person.

i agree with you, with the high fence deal. buddy of mine went to texas last year. High fence ranch. hunted 80 yds from a feeder. he had noticed that they had sunk fence posts inthe ground at the same angle of the feeder legs. the legs were attached to the posts. when that feeder went of there was a cloud of dust and when it settled there was 20 bucks under that feeder. the deer would knock the feeders over so they had to brace 'em.
