Just remember they normally arent the ones labeling themselves that. I went to highschool with John and Gina Brunson (they are from Brandon) and I can tell you they know they are lucky same with Waddell and most of them.

In most of the show on tv they are not hunting. They are just shooting live targets. When you hunt a high fenced property anyone can be succesful. Put those same people on a management area that would impress me. I bet they would have a tough time.

I have a friend that goes to those places. He pays big bucks and then has his pet that he shot mounted. He says that it's hard and a fair hunt. If someone was paying my bill I could fill a pickup truck with deer in a couple hours.

My dad was invited to hunt a ranch out in Texas while working out there a few years ago. He thought it was going to be like other hunts he'd been on out there with friends, where they had a good native population of deer, and you could scout and set up a blind or a stand, etc. A lot of those ranches have the high fences, but it's mainly to keep the deer from getting on the highway and becoming road kill. Well, he got to this ranch in the early afternoon after driving about 5 hours from Corpus Christi and asked if they would be scouting that afternoon. The guy said no, they were gonna go out and kill a couple of bucks! They got in the truck, drove a couple miles down a road, and stopped at a gate. As the guy opened the gate, my dad said he could see movement among the trees. By the time they pulled in to the field there were a half dozen young bucks coming out of the woods, headed for the truck, like cattle looking for a fresh bale of hay! They drove on in and got to another clearing, and more bucks were following. The guy asked him if he saw anything he wanted to shoot, and dad just couldn't believe it. He told the guy he wanted to go hunting, not just killing. One of the other guys shot a deer, they loaded it up and headed back to the ranch house, and dad got back in his truck and drove back to Corpus Christi!
