Finally after a slow season of seeing only small spikes and does my luck has changed.Around 7:30 I heard some deer blowing across the pasture,as I thought they busted my brother. Waiting without high hopes I sat quietly for another 1/2 hr and decided to stand up a bit. FAcing the pasture for 5 minutes I turned slowly and faces the woods,to my surprise this big buck was standing in range. My heart started racing and I could not get the release on the loop as the deer started walking. I knew I screwed again but noticed a small hole where I could slip an arrow theu. I regained my composure, drew back and waitedwhat seemed like forever.
The buck stepped right in the hole,I took aim and launched the arrow. I seen the knock light and heard a familiar thud. No sound of an arrow traveling thru brush, bones,or anything just a thud and the deer took off. I immediatly texte my brother and said I think I just killed my biggest Fl buck.I couldn't wait to get down and look but I knew I had to wait. After 15 minutes I decided to look for the arrow anyways and what I found where he was standing was a large amount of blood. Waited another 45 minutes and started trailing,I knew I made a good hit but could not find the arrow. It was a quick trail job with a dead buck lying 60 yards from where I shot him. The arrow cut the top of the heart and both lungs and never fully passed thru. The arrow backed out about 20 yards before he fell.
Great job!
Nice buck. congrats
Awesome buck! Way to go!
