Headed up to Pa for my first hunt ever with some friends of mine. For this Florida boy.... I learned a new meaning to what cold is all about. Had a great time and what a HUGE difference compared to Florida. We hunted 3 1/2 days and ended up filling 2 antlerless deer tags. We saw some nice bucks, but it was not to be....
The start of the trip was ReelMojo. First deer on a new .270 and he hits it at 325 yards!!! (we used the GPS to establish distance) The deer dropped like a sack of potatoes and never got up. Ended up being a great neck shot. The other deer was from a 3030 with the new Hornady ammo. Deer dropped at 125.
I never got lined up right for a shot but had an AWESOME time never-the-less. The difference in the terrain was really cool. Sitting up there when the air was so crisp in the mornings with the clouds rising over the mountains was just awesome.
Enjoy the pics.
Tightlines!

Looks like a good time. And you know you could have brought some of that cool weather back with you. 😀

Great pictures and story! That power line picture looks a lot like a place I used to hunt up in Westmoreland County near Greensburg. It's a bit different climbing those hills in the cold dark isn't it! Beautiful country up in western PA.
What county did you all go to? I was up there in mid-October, but the weather wasn't anywhere near to what it was when you were there!
