Just put the camera in the front yard yesterday afternoon and pointed it at a sand pear tree. Bambi and company visited twice during the night. One doe has an some unusual darker markings that are on her right side. Can't tell if was a wet spot where she licked herself, just dark hair or maybe a scrape from a fence or maybe even a car? Maybe they'll show up in the daylight and be able to see her in color. Check out the house cat layin' there, watchin' for a mouse.
Any ideas about this one? There were several more pictures of her and she just looks different than the other deer.

Farmer my guess is thata it is a scrap from something. I went to the woods yesterday and saw a doe at 10 yards standing there and she had the same markings. It looked to me that she had been scraped by something.

That is just shedding of their summer coat. With the camera flash it makes the area look dark.

Either way she is a mighty healthy doe! And that pear tree is kickin' it too!
