Opening weekend for archery is probably a good weekend to spend all day in the stand. The deer havent seen a hunter in months so anything can happen
yea im going sat and sunday plan on staying all day both days hopefully, this is my first bow season and i been so anxious this past week to go, i got all my stuff ready to go its gonna be a hot one though thats for sure
yea last year i seen alot of hogs out and about in mid afternoon, i plan on stayin in the stand maybe to 10 or 11 and head back for lunch and chillout but like kem said depends on the weather and the moon, so maybe getting into october and gun season i may focus more on midday hunting or all day when the weather cools down
On these dark moons you will have mid-late afternoon movement and feed times. This Sat the major is at 6:48PM. My plan is to be in my stand NO LATER than 6AM(probably earlier) and sit till noon. I have a hard time sitting all day. I have forced myself and I get too fidgety mid day to stay daylight to dark
Ill get down around noon and go eat lunch at the truck, chill for a bit and go climb back up by 2

hahaha yea it is hard to sit all day and i usually get down for lunch at the truck and might move my climber a little depending on the wind.
i got a climber this year, last year i mainly walked around and didnt really know what i was doing..so i dont know how im gonna do sittin in a stand for hours lol but im a pretty patient guy so well see, about the feeding times you guys pay much attention to them, do they seem fairly accurate?
