so ive read in magazines and some hunting books that midday hunting can be pretty productive in seeing deer activity, how do most of you feel about this? Also depending on availabe time you have to hunt, weather, pressure, rut etc...what time of day do most of you like to hunt and what time of day would you say you see the most activity?

usually will do evenings and mornings, unless it is full moon. will stay in the stand later on morning hunts, and get in it earlier for the evening hunts. sometimes pack a lunch and stay all day. but that is only on full moon

this past weekend on the lease, had alot of movement in the evening. every where i put crock at he saw deer. i saw mine sunday morning, but i was walking. alot depends on weather. if it is to hot, activity seems to drop in the mid-day. during the rut all bets are off. can run into a bruiser anytime of the day. that is on my place.

I've started staying later in my stands, got a nice 6 last year late morn. You know what they say,ya can't kill nothing in camp. I can't tell you how many times I've killed hogs I've seen feeding in ditches and such driving around mid-day.

Opening weekend for archery is probably a good weekend to spend all day in the stand. The deer havent seen a hunter in months so anything can happen
