Came up to Ga for my last hunt of the year up here also. Got here and there's dozers cutting firebreaks all over the place. 9 hr drive for this bs!

Well...boy was it hot! (not deer)
Saw does, but no horns.
There's always next weekend...love finding this stuff to entice me back.
On a more somber note.
My son saw and shot his first buck last weekend, about 1030a. Looked until dark and was unable to find it. Hunting by himself.
Valuable lessons learned we talked about.
Make sure of a good shot or let it walk. He was twisted around clockwise hard (RH shooter) as the deer was getting back into the scrubs. Hit it real deep.
Found blood and good puddles when the deer was stopping...trailed it too early.
Yesterday I found it...he was sick about it.
Shame to lose the meat, but it is a great rack, glad y'all found it! Maybe a lesson for all of us, we all need to learn what to do after the shot if things dodn't go just right. Treefarmer
