More of a water dog, but the right one would do the trick. Need one that has a bit of energy and stamina. Tough skin is a must down here.

rocky wants to play with them!I had one down the ditch the other day(young one I guess)and ole Rocky would just bark like he wanted it to play,lol.

what about a weimereiner?
Plantation manager I know has one. He found 42 deer one year by the end of bow season :rockon
I just want sonething that will track and catch if needed.
