i seen luv2hunt on today. I have not heard anything. John has laid the smack down this year and there has been some others that have goten some meat for the freezer but not a great year so far.
2 does for me so far....hitting Arbuckle for the last week of archery this week!!! If it walks by me (and its legal) I am slinging an arrow in its direction this week!!!!!
It was a rather "odd" weekend for me. Usually ML weekend is my favorite time to hunt. The rut has not started yet and now it will happen during this time frame when it is closed between Ml weekend and gun opening weekend.
Friday and Saturday I saw does up feeding right on the feeding times, and no bucks were harassing them. even saw does crossing road Thursday when I went to hang my stand and no bucks were following. Didn't see anything in the afternoons, except one jackass that walked up on me right in prime time Fri afternoon
Yestrday morning I got up in my climber over an hour before daylight. Got up about 30' and settled in, and leaned back to take a nap before daybreak. I started hearing rustling under and around me and couldn't figure out what it was. After about 20 minutes I couldn't stand it anymore and turned on m red light on my light. I literally had about 20 hogs right under me. One of them was bumping into my pull up rope and rubbing on the tree I was in. I turned my light off and they hung around for another 15 minutes but it was still too dark to see your hand much less shoot something
