Also funny cause every single time ive eaten deer it has been gamey no matter how ive eatin it. Thats why to this day i still prefer hog.

i have heard the baking soda trick on the meat in the cooler works very well. also heard about salting the meat while in the cooler works good as well.
Ahh the heck with all that soaking stuff, you need to get yourself a real nice homemade dry brine and marinade the meat for 4 days. I did this recently with some steaks and my o my was it tasty! If ya'll want to try the recipe let me know and i'll shoot it to ya.
I dont salt the meat in the cooler because it will pickle the outside of it
