Any of you ever had gamey venison? I never had it until I killed larger,older rutting bucks. My 10 pt from ga was bad and my 8 from this year is a little strong.I've never had a problem before these two that I can remember.Any ways to get rid of it?

I think I'm going back to killing the smaller ones. No wonder all those D-bags on t.v. donate their meat to the needy.
That's what I do Lacy,always soak in ice for a few days. I've killed a ton of deer but only the older,full rutting bucks had the gaminess.Honestly,they're worse than any boar hog I've ate.
I ice all my animals down for several days. Its just that a rutting buck has so many hormones I don't think you can get the taste out. If I kill another one in rut I will make sausage out of the entire thing. Hell mine's neck was as big as a garbage can
