66, Personally I'm a 270 man, I love my A Bolt but I think that a 30/30 would do just fine for a starter gun and it will be cheaper to shoot.

I am not a believer that 1 gun can do it all very well. fishermen don't have 1 rod/reel, golfers don't have 1 club, bowlers, well I aint gonna talk about their balls.I do think every hunter/shooter should have at least 1 lever, prefferably 2 or more, 1 being a 22 lr for practice and another or more in a larger hunting caliber. a short action carbine like 243,260,7mm08,308 , then a larger/heavier gun with a 24" bbl in a cal like 25-06,270,280,,30-06,35wheelen, or maybe a 300 win/wthby mag or 7mm mag if you lived out west. not gonna get into handguns or shotguns here and now.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I appreciate the input.
I think I'll start off with a 30-30, and eventually end up with a 270 too.

Thanks again!

Just like women and their shoes you can't have too many guns! Now only if I can convince my wife that.
