I have been doing a lot of scouting at Guanna. When scouting, what kind of plants do I need to look for?

I don't know about plants but I would look for white oaks full of acorns or persimmon trees. Follow deer trails and you will probably find these eventually

Soft and hard mast this time of year. They hammered black berries earlier in the year. Now the wild grapes are falling(they love the leaves too), persimmons are coming along, and of course acorns. Water oaks are usually the first and most plentiful to drop, however one of the bottom on the preferred list. If you can find a different type of oak dropping, then hunt it. Look for heavily used trails that have fresh tracks. Try to go out the morning early after a rain before any other traffic, and look for tracks crossing roads. Find a pinch point, funnel area, or any edge or terrain shift. Those are the only areas I hunt. If you can find a rub line in any of this type of terrain, hunt it

Dont forget about palmetto berries, deer will hammer them until acorns start to fall. As stated above wild grapes are also preferred but will probably be played out by the time season gets here. Greenbriar is a good food source. If you find a persimmon with fruit check it often because once it starts to drop the fruit wont stay on the ground long.
