Just got back from camp....had a great trip....saw probably 30+ deer, six bucks, 4 were 8 point or better, 2 were 10 point or better....shot a small 8 point and a nice 10 point with 2 broken tines....got real lucky on that one....story later....saw tons of turkey too...

So here's a couple more pics....this was Wednesday evening....had already shot a smallish 8 point two days earlier and hunting hard every day.....was kind of tired...hung out at the camp and cooked some ribs for the other guys for dinner, took a shower and just walked out late to a stand about 100 to 150 yards from the camp....got in the stand and my buddy calls, then my wife calls, and all that talking right about 6:30pm when the deer had been moving...figured I wasnt going to see anything, but still enjoying being in the stand. I hang up with my wife and about 5 minutes later this guy walks out on the same path I used to get to the stand, and starts walking away from me down the power line that I'm sitting on. I see the rack and cant believe it, so I line up on him and whistle a few times and he just turns slightly to the right and I thought I could just slide a shot behind his ribs into his vitals....after the shot he took off crabbing down hard and sideways so I knew I hit him pretty hard. Got out of the stand and he was laying about 30 yards off the power line in the woods....turns out my shot went into his right ham....did a little damage to the ham and took out his loins, but everything else was good. I was in the stand about an hour I guess...
This pic is one of this same deer 2 weeks ago on one of my feeders about a mile from where I shot him....check out the camo job on that feeder....pretty stylish....
