asked FWC about C'Mere Deer here is the reponse

Discussion Thread

Customer 09/15/2010 02:52 PM
C'Mere Deer liquid can be used in some states where baiting is not legal since it's not a food but, can be applied to a natural food source where deer are feeding.

Is it legal on a WMA?

Response (OED - NERO- AJ) 09/16/2010 08:40 AM
Mr. Zies: C'Mere deer liquid is legal to use on private property and FWC's WMA's. If you have any further questions please call our office at: 352-732-1225.

The thread title alone brings up a red flag!

But you seem to have FWC confirmation. I would keep this email in your pocket at all times!

so as I read, on a wma it it is OK to soak a rag in scent or in my case soured corn juice and tie it high up in a branch where animals can't reach it. better bet would likely to be to find an oak dropping acorns and stake it out. or some other natural food source that is in season.

Can't do that either, Ray. And fertilizing oaks needs to be done in Feb/March

Al I know about when to fertilize , I have never done it in WMA's or in leases I've been in , but this has been discussed in FS and if I remember correctly it's legal when it was asked to FWC . I might be wrong . That's why I don't go to forums and ask question about legal matter . He did the right thing asking FWC , and I would print that email with the response he got next to his hunting license .

Nothing like being stopped by the FWC while riding your bike, and having a back pack loaded with 50lbs of 10/10/10 fertilizer in it. Uh yes sir I was just fertilizing an small oak hammock, and persimmon patch. I mean what else in the whole world would he possibly think you are tending to? Might have that officer follow you around for the whole season.

Never have done it, but tell myself ever year that I need to do some fert. on some small persimmon patchs, and select oak hammocks. I know this would pay off in time. Just gettin. older, and not as ate up with hunting as a few years back. Would still have to say it is a good idea just be discrete.
