Anyone ever hunted inside a Cypress swamp?

I've been scouting an area that combines cypress swamps, hardwoods and pines. Often, there is a clear line separating the cypress swamp from the hardwoods and pine trees. My question is this: Other than the obvious game trails and clearings inside hammocks, would you set up a stand inside the cypress swamp if there was a suitable cypress tree? Are cypress swamps used by pressured deer to hide during hunting periods or are they transitional areas that they use to travel back and forth between feeding and bedding areas? Keep in mind that the cypress areas where I hunt are submerged during rainy season, so it would be difficult to discern a traveling lane or game trail.

Thanks!

Cypress heads are sometimes a good travel area. Not a lot of food in them, but they will use them to go from point A to point B.

Also, if there is a dry spot in a cypress head with some myrtles they will bed up in it.

I guess its hard to say without logging some tree stand hours and seeing where they are moving.
FWIW, when me and Carlos had the private property out here by the house it was a huge cypress swamp. We had stands in it in standing water and saw deer just about every sit

Well, am looking in Google Earth and spotted a couple of interesting areas I'd like to explore. One of them appears to be a small patch of hardwoods (?? not sure, hard to tell from the satelite image) that is completely surrounded by what appears to be a cypress head. I think am going to try to find it and set up a trail camera in there and see who shows up. I do agree that there is no food in the cypress head, but here's my thought: Other than having to deal with the water, Cypress heads are not that difficult to traverse. And , if I had to guess, deer are going to use them to hide the minute they start smelling / hearing hunters in the area.

I hunt cypress swamps alot they have good sources of food in them you will need to spend time looking for it but it is there. With alot of scouting and walking you will find them and when you do there be sign every where around it.
