Another great hunt. Birds didn't start really flying until about 4:00 pm but man they were everywhere after that. This was my step son's first hunt actually shooting and carrying his SXS 20 gauge and he killed the first two doves! Think he's got huntin fever now! Thanks for the mentoring in the field and working with him Nacho when I was picking up birds or running around! I appreciate it as did he! We recovered 16 birds and probably downed another 12 or so which we were unable to find. Beautiful afternoon and great company! Look forward to the next hunt!
please let me know when the next hunt is, i will try to make it as my hunting has suddenly become very limited.
I had a great time as well. watching Patrick start off by being very dainty in touching the birds at all to just grabbing them by the end of the day and me stuffing the birds in his pants pockets freaked him out a bit at first, then I say thats why they call them cargo pockets and he says "but there my Dads pants" lol better yet I said. a good kid with some hunting potential.
