With this statement right here, you have just proven yourself a damn fool. Have you ever bothered actually looking into what happened back then, or do you blindly follow what the main stream press sends out?
Here's what went down. Gore tried to do an end run around the constitution by refusing to have all the votes in the entire state recounted. In accordance with the existing law, a recount in a national election must include the entire state. Gore tried to handpick a few counties that were heavily Democratic. When it didn't go the way he wanted, he contnued to push the process to get the numbers he wanted. Funny how he didn't want any Republican leaning counties counted isn't it? Or,that he tried to discredit the Military Absentee ballots coming in from overseas.
All this took time. In accordance to the laws of the state of Florida, the election had to be called at a certain date. This is a law that was initiated long before either member of the Bush family ever entered politics and it was enacted by the Florida Legislature. That's why it went to the Supreme Court. Gore was trying to extend the recount past the state legislated date. The Supreme Court never ruled on who was the winner. What they ruled on was the legality of the recount and they came down on the State of Florida's side because the State Constitution mandated that an election be called by a certain date. On other words, Ms. Harris was merely enforcing the laws of the State of Florida, which was exactly what her job required of her.
A year or two after the election, an independent group did a complete recount of all the state's ballots. It was close, but it came down to a Bush victory by slightly less than 600 votes. As a matter fo fact, they then went back and did another recount based solely on the parameters Gore was asking for and in that recount Bush won by slighly over 1000 votes.
No matter how you cut it, Bush won the vote in Florida that year. If you don't think what I just wrote is accurate, then get online and start researching it youself.
As to Gore, anyone that wanted that liar as President needs to have their head examined. This is they guy that was leading the charge on the so called Blobal Warming. Unless you've been living under a rock, this whole concept has been seriously discredited recently because the science behind it was being manipulated. Gore has made almost a billion dollars pushing this garbage and he has been leading the charge for the Cap and Trade crap, which this country can not even begin to afford.
Obama's a fool, but Gore is borderline criminal. I don't trust any politician as far as I can throw one, but I'd vote for a turtle before I'd ever vote for Gore.

I used no words that are not used daily on television, the radio, the newspapers, this forum itself or in every day converstation. If you're that thin skinned, internet forums are probably a bad place for you to hang out.
I'm not too afraid of a big boast like trying to put a boot in my "azz". I've been in the military for over 21 years and am pretty sure I can take care of myself. Anyone that comes on with silly threats like that are not worth being concerned about. It's easy to talk big via a keyboard. How many times you faced down armed men in combat? I've done it 3 times. I don't scare easily.
