Ill or not, such questions are foolish. If he's that sick then he should either step down himself or the leadership in Congress should strip him of his powers, which they have the right to do, but rarely enforce. The sad thing is that this guy can, will, and has continued to vote on legisation like the Health Care fiasco. Remember, that only passed by something like 7 votes, and you can bet your bottom dollar this guy voted for it. He's a notorious liberal, elected from a notoriuous liberal district, was a notorious liberal circuit judge before he was elected and he has voted a straight liberal ticket since being seated in Congress.
As to the Admiral keeping a straight face, it just goes to show how well trained the military is. Even when faced with this type of lunacy, they remain professional. If the Admiral had busted out laughing or shown disrespect, you can rest assured that the media would have made that the lead story and not the foolish Congressman.
