I have said before I am NOT a fan of early voting. I am old school and think voting should be done on voting day. And absentee ballots should be used for what they are meant for...elderly/out of town/homebound/military....

Having said that, I voted early today for the first time in my life. I was passing right by the voting place (local library) and decided to get it over and done in case I get run over by a train before next Tuesday.
I must say, it was very busy to say the least. There were probably 100 booths stacked as close together and you can squeeze them in the room. The line was out the door. However, the line moved quickly and efficiently and the total wait time from walking to the door till I got the ballot in my hand was 5 minutes. For a bunch of old codgers that are working on a voluntary basis, it was extremely organized. It was overall a very good experience, and there should be a very good % turnout after this is all over with..

I voted a straight Republican ticket, and voted against all the judges on the ballot as I do every election. I recommend EVERYONE sit down prior to voting and read all these amendments. They are not easy to understand, especially when you are in a crowded room and can't concentrate. I had a cheat sheet, so filling in the bubbles took me 2 minutes. But the amendments are more confusing than I can ever remember

Did the same thing Saturday. Straight Republican also. Got there at 9:00 and was out 10 minutes later. Very well organized staff. As you mentioned, unless you read everything before hand, it will take you a freaking long time to do all 3 pages.

an early voting area by me today had a line at least an hour long. glad we use the absentee voting by mail,so much easier. and don't feel theres anything wrong with it for anyone, if it helps more people to vote.

Voted early today, too. Very organized here in Orlando. Had my cheat sheet, too. In and out in about 20 minutes.
