Gun control on an international level will play out like it has in America. Consider the city of Chicago, they have some of the strictest gun laws in the nation and still have one of the highest levels of gun violence in the country. Many large cities in our country have the same issuses.

The honest citizen, living in one of these cities, wanting to protect himself and family becomes either completely helpless or he becomes a criminal by arming himself. The 2nd Amendment of our Constitution should insure his right, but no, some group has determined that he is not entitled to that right and they pass a law that makes it a crime to own a gun in their city. So now we have honest, disarmed people, trying to do what the law says, that are at the mercy of dishonest, armed people that don't give a rip about any laws. This is where the ol' sayin' "WHEN GUNS ARE OUTLAWED, ONLY OUTLAWS WILL HAVE GUNS', comes from.

It will be the same on the international scene. Only the countries who have respect for law in general will enforce an Arms Trade Treaty and all the rouge nations that ignore law will still be armed, just a bigger example of what has already happened in Chicago, some of our other cities and several nations around the world. We will find ourselves "Hung out to dry!" and criminals of all shapes and sizes, domestic and international, will have the upper hand because we in America will have bargained away our rights. This is some serious stuff! Support and encourage the elected officials that are opposing these measures! Back the NRA and other organizations that are standing for our 2nd Amendment rights!
