i know, the scope on my gun came on my gun when i bought it. i dont go cheap on tools either, i just have a hard time sometimes letting go of a few hundred bucks on a scope when a few hundred bucks is enough to get another gun or close to it. but now i know that my next major purchase will be a high quality scope. my redfield does ok in low light, but niether as good as the zeiss.
as ihave posted elsrwhere on here. i am partial to bushnell. their 3200 and 4200 series. my ruger wears a 3200 elite 3x9 - 50. excellent light gathering. have taken shots very close to the end of legal shooting hours but could still see very clearly through my scope.
My dad is up at his GA lease now, catching the end of muzzle loader, then the first couple days of gun. I'm hoping to get a good report from him Sunday night or Monday. Looking forward to getting up there around Thanksgiving. Have to take my new (to me!) truck up there and get her dirty! :rockon

they were supposed to be but the burner and bricks are :censoreded up at the crematory so he had to stay behind to make sure it gets fixed right, he was bitchin cause it was gonna cost like 15 g's to fix it, or more. so they didn't go.

He stayed up there a couple days extra, but last I heard he hadn't gotten anything. But there have been 10 deer killed on the lease this past week. I'll get the story tomorrow, I hope.
getting stuff together today. have to find my long underwear. probably gonna need them. gonna be a cold weekend.
