Here are 2 others that were referred to me by a hunt booking agent. He has heard of the first place I mentioned but has never booked a client there nor hunted there. The agent is in MO and books places all over the country. But, for my price range and amount of travel time willing to drive, he felt comfortable that I would enjoy either place above. I'll be calling all 3 this week and begin planning a trip to one of them next year, 2010/2011 season.

How are the deer on your lease compared to the pictures from the outfitter? Do you do food plots, feeders, etc.?

I figured that's about as far as I'd like to drive. I am exactly 2 hours South of the I-75/I-4 exit. I wanted to be 10 hours or under.

yes, i have feeders going year around. i plant food plots for the winter. but this year the logging company messed them up. not coming in as good as i hoped. my lease holds some good deer. granted the hunting ranches are feeding high protien feed to promote antler growth.(in summer) some of my bucks i posted pics of in the trail cam thread in the whitetail section. there are bigguns out there, just haven't caught them on camera yet. Alabama has some good deer. and the pay to hunt places do manage and feed, to grow big deer.

The price seems pretty steep for 3 days of hunting. I know some boys who go to S. Carolina for 500.00 for more days of hunting. They do pretty good up there.

I'll have to check out your pics.

I have found some cheaper outfits but don't have any feedback from actual customers to back up any claims. Besides, I think it is worth it for a private room (I am a very light sleeper) and 3 meals a day with unlimited snacks, game care, well maintained box stands, good food plots, etc. SC is a place where I'd like to hunt at some point and I am actually looking at a few properties in SC to purchase because of their really long deer season. If you have a name of a place or website, I'll make a call to them too.

Thanks!!
