Thanks Again For Your Time!!
Welcome to the forum!
I know, My brother has 75 acres in Alabama, and he goes every chance he gets this time or year. I only went (1) time last year, and was the first time ever to boot, and I shoot a (9) pointer.... I mounted it in my den, and never went again.... I like the water much better....

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the welcome!!!
Cr0ck1 I thought of that name on the day I took my boat on a test ride when I moved back to Florida....
I could do not help but remember how much I loved being on the water, and so I bought the boat and samed it "Hooked On A Felling"....
Lastly, A Bit Of Trevia - Funny as heck David Hasslehoff(Knight rider) actually sang that song and made a video....
Funny as heck, you should to google it, it will make you crack up....
He evidently was a hugh singing sensation in Germany....
Well Have Great Evening, and perhaps we can wet a line together someday...
PEACE!!

Welcome to you new guys! Glad to have new members!
Hey Hooked, we are involved in the same line of work. Are you freelance or working for someone?
You may want to try fishing a bit south of Cockroach down around Piney Point, near Port Manatee. Bishop's Harbor, Miguel Bay, Terra Ceia are all good areas. I wouldn't be surprised if you found some white bait up near the power plant where the water is warmer. If you can't get white bait, there's always pinfish and other small baitfish you can chum up and catch. We used to catch a lot of big reds and snook off Piney Point using pinfish or pot-bellied jigs tipped with shrimp. You can also run out various channel markers and catch some good mangrove snapper, or out to the Skyway. Manatee River, just east of I-75, hold some really nice sheepshead. Probably the same up the Alafia. You're central to a lot of great fishing, just need to get out and find your spots! I'd be interested in meeting up, sharing gas costs, etc. sometime if you like. Been a while since I fished Cockroach, and I'm sure the bars and islands have changed some in the lasy 20 years, but as for general fishing inshore in Florida, I can get it done!
