I know, My brother has 75 acres in Alabama, and he goes every chance he gets this time or year. I only went (1) time last year, and was the first time ever to boot, and I shoot a (9) pointer.... I mounted it in my den, and never went again.... I like the water much better....
welcome to the sight. i live in S. Tampa. when my boat was running the bay was my hangout. know many spots around the bay.
I was the same way untill this year. I went out with one of the guy's here hog huntting and now I'm hooked. :rockon We have a great bunch of people on here. I have fished with 1/2 dozen different people from here and hunted with 2 of them. That's the great thing with the people here they just don't talk about it they get together and get it done. :rockon

Backin the day, I used to fish mostly the Gandy and surrounding area.... I would also do a little tarpon fishing out of the causway bridge.... Now I want to learn about cockroach Bay, EG simmons, Skyway etc...
Any ideas or help regarding where does the white bait hide now as colder waters become previlant???
I know the gag groupers used to make their way into the skyway area as the water temps dip into the 60's & low 70's....
Is that still the same??
yep. will still find grouper in the holes around the skyway. white bait gets hard to find right now. just alot of cruising to find them. the alafia river usually holds alot.
