45-70, love those old calibers that work as well today or better than 100 yrs ago, 45 long colt 45 acp, 30-06. if you don't mind the recoil it'l sure lay the smackdown. I'm a big believer in the closer and more dangerous the game the bigger diam/heavier the bullet, and velocity realy don't matter at 20'. but I am thinking of using my 22 mag for a hog from a stand at about 30 yd's, I can hit nickels at that range and want to use a little quieter weapon, not convinced ( yet ) I can drop a hog in it's tracks at 30 yd's with an arrow.plus it's been years since I shot my bow. if I don't drop it in it's tracks in this area I'll have to go swimming to retrieve it and drag it through green slimy muck.
