First of all thanks for the opportunity to join this forum.

It's my first time going wild boar hunting with dogs (I'll use a spear as a weapon) and I want to find a good service provider around Lake Okeechobee.

I read comments about Ron's Guide Service releasing caged meat hogs to comply with the guaranteed kill.

Please let me know which company is best or if you know of a good one. My budget is no more than $300, Im going with two more friends.

Thanks a lot!

Welcome Miamidan.

I booked a hunt with Ron's 3 years ago and as you mentioned it is a caged hunt like many others. In my opinion, it is not worth the $200 or some they charge unless you are more than dying to kill a hog. The hunting area is small and from what I experienced it looks they keep the hogs hidden somewhere and release them as soon as the hunter pass the gate. I saw one guy kill his hog less than 10 minutes into the hunt. It is ok for a group to "hunt" together and get some hogs, but not to much of a challenge.
