Hi y'all (trying to hide the foreign accent!)

Been a long time contributor to the Florida Shooters Network and have recently started showing some interest in the hunting part of firearm ownership and only just found out about this great forum. Lots of reading to do and lots to learn here!!!!

I am a 61 yr old transplant from South Africa, legally (Legal :alien) in the US (I did not hop a southern border fence or swim from Cuba). I am a legal firearms owner and have a FL CWP as well. All legit.

Been here since middle '97

I live in Stuart on the Treasure Coast and am happily married to a wonderful American gal that I met as a second chance. Could not ask for a better life partner!!

I am interested in learning more about hunting in FL. Done some back in South Africa (NO . . . no BIG 5 or such glorious ventures). Only some small plains game and such.

Right now, I have one rifle and it is an Evil Black Rifle and this is more than likely the rifle I would want to use when time/opportunity/funds allow the joy of spending a day or weekend out in open, pitting skills against local fauna. I still need to get a 5-rd magazine to at least be legal with the rifle.
I am a reasonably accurate shot - given my 60+yr old eyes and some assistance from optics - keeping the shots on paper while plinking at the range. Though I need to build more familiarity with the equipment and not enough time to drive up to Sebastian, or out to Okeechobee ranges.

Just thought I would introduce myself and then go quietly sit and read in the corner . .. have lots to read through on this site.

Talk to y'all again soon. . . . . . . probably many, many questions.
