got out on saturday morning for a couple of hours and fished a pond that holds some pretty decent snook and many other saltwater species. first throw of my cast net got hung up on somethin nasty, and was forced to throw artificials all morning. it was fun, got many hits, we landed a few snook and one bass. saw a couple of small redfish and got broke off by something pretty big. the pond is fed by a very small creek that is tidal from a larger creek. i was very surprised at the action. i heard of the spot from a guy at work and took my cousins that were in town for a funeral out there. we had a blast. i will definately be returning to this spot. when the water is moving the fish are eating.

i know of one tarpon caught out of this pond, maybe 20 pounds or so. still would be a blast. i landed two like this one and one 2.5 or 3 lb bass. it was a blast.
