Since the cold snap/fish kill my saltwater rods have been clean and dry. Bass fishing has been pretty good though. I heard that most of the fish were dead and that snook were basically whipped out. :ban I went down to the deepest part of the river and slung feathers for a few. On the 12th cast, right on the bottom, boom...! 35" healthy snook faught hard and swam away hard. :rockon I felt better knowing snook fishing will be fine in the years to come. :clap I went home, cleaned the rod, and put it up for a few months. Think i'll start targeting Drum for a while.

nice. i think its time to hit the river spot i fished last year. when the tide comes in it dumps in to a pond and the snook and bass ambush the bait as it comes over the rocks. one of the guys caught a 20 pound tarpon out of the pond. i have not used live bait yet over there, only artificials, hard and soft plastics.
