Tell you what, when you got a mess of people to cook for, frying up a bunch of fresh mullet fillets is hard to beat! Some grits, baked beans, cole slaw and crusty garlic bread - man, that's good eats!

I save the backbones too. To me they are the best piece of meat on the fish

I caught 37 more this morning in 2 hours. I gave them to my disabled buddy I hunt with. He can't throw a net so I do it for him. Here are the finished pics.
