Took my daughter and my brother in law fishing yesterday. We got there around 7 in the morning and fished till about 1. We started on the south pier and caught a few nice ones. We then stopped at the north pier and that's where they were really going off! We caught one on almost every cast for a while. Ended up keeping 11 and throwing back a bunch of small skinny ones.
I got home and filleted them and threw them right on the smoker. Ate a few fillets for dinner and then made spread out of the rest. MMMM...
No pics from yesterday, but it was definately a good time. They're here so go get em!
From what I've been told they are on fire here in Venice too.
soon t bee here I hope
thanks for the report, I drive over the skyway every day to work, and have seen a large number of fisherman out there.
What did u use for bait/tackle? silver spoon? live threadfin?
only thing better than fishing and actually catching is takin the younger generation into it
