Went out friday with my bro in law and hit the beach at daylight after loading up the well with threadies.. we were on fish pretty quick and within no time had a jumped but threw the hook, then my b-i-l hooked and landed this fish about 120lbs..his first tarpon to the boat.had fish around all day but they did not want to eat..Goin back out tuesday to give it another shot..

I'd like to do that sometime. Never have gone out and targeted tarpon. I've had 3 on while fishing for other stuff, but when you aren't set up to catch them, it's tough to just luck into bringing one in.
+ 1 i hooked one while snook fishing once, had to put the brakes on and bust the line so i wouldn't lose all my line
