i know a couple guys in palmetto that fished the redfish tours, they do alright. if you have a yamaha outboard on a ranger boat you get or use to get a grand for being in the competition, if you bought the set up new. one is a painter and the other owns a bunch of pizza resturaunts.

I think we know the same guys! I think you only get the Ranger/Yamaha bonus if you place in the tournament.
its something ridiculous like top 70 though, the painter who is also a captain said that even if he places near the back, he still gets the $ from ranger/yamaha. this is a shotty weekend for a tourney. the only thing this weekend is good for is flying a kite. or windsurfing. certainly not a good fishing weekend. i actually have to go outside today and fix part of my house damaged by the wind. happy im not where my brother is though. they had golf ball sized hail in the suburbs of austin this week.
Ya woke up at 4:30 am got to the boat ramp at 5:00. waited till 6:20 for the guy that runs the tournament to get there and say that it was postponed. pissed to say the least got out anyways and got on some nice reds now im even more pissed because we had a shot at placing.
